I recently noticed I bent many of these bolts under the car. What are these bolts for? Are they from the inside coming out or serve any purpose? If so I bent over 4 of them really bad.

They are for the underside panels. These are non standard on USDM. I think JDM is standard. I put some 3GS panels on my car. It's almost identical except GS was longer so I trimmed it short to fit. Most of the holes for clips and screws lined up otherwise.

Makes sense, thanks for the info! Did a search and the covers looks nice and some say it helps with aero dynamics... Would add some myself but the underside looks so dirty there may be no point lol

Yep, just have to cut the back a little shorter. The GS goes back further too, all the way to the rear stabilizer mount.

The panels exist on all USDM IS C and IS F models as well as 2009 only ISx50 sedan models.

2006-2008 and 2010-2013 ISx50 sedans don't have the panels.

You might want to bend them straight and seal them with something pliable but non-acidic. I.e. careful using silicone as it may induce rust do to its acidic properties when curing.

Just in case you forge a creek or something....

wonder what the 2009 reasons were for having them vs every other year of the car not having in the US.

Good question. Most likely due to cost reasons, but that still doesn't answer why they added them for 2009.

Corporate EPA until they realized they don't help fuel economy as much retuning the powertrain?

Here's how the full underbody panel set looks like on the JDM 2IS. Years ago, I tried looking around for this set as part of my 2IS build (as I think the panels would have some aerodynamic benefits on the track) but I was unsuccessful.
