Headlight OEM HID swap to non OEM, non HID housing
I've been searching on here for hours and I can't find anything with what i'm trying to do. Basically what I wanna know is can I swap my factory HID components "Ballast and Auto Level" to my aftermarket halogen headlight?
What happened was I purchased an aftermarket non HID headlight and didn't know about it, till months later today that installed it. I wanna know if its possible to swap the parts out or did I just waste money and I should just purchase an oem hid headlight
Any help is welcomed! thank you and sorry if this question has been answered before and if so, please point me in the right direction.

Short answer is no. Some people have used those aftermarket halogen housings with an aftermarket HID kit (one intended to convert a halogen equipped car to HID), though you could end up with a beam pattern that's inferior to what you had with the stock housings, and you'll lose your AFS functionality. If you wanted to stick with your factory ballast and hardware and retain AFS, you should have bought an OEM HID housing, or an aftermarket housing intended for HID applications. (there was a recent thread talking about aftermarket HID housings made by DEPO)
