Default Lexus is 220d wont accelerate and black smoke

Hi, i have a lexus is 220d which has black smoke on startup and no throttle response. No fault codes in ecu. Checked egr valve, timing, maf and dpf already. Any help would be appreciated.

Black smoke is usually from too much fuel that cannot be burned completely in the engine cylinders. Take a sniff of the smoke and you should be able to smell gasoline. If you remove a spark plug, it would appear wet and would be black in color instead of the light tan that is normal. You could have a bad fuel injector (maybe more than one). If so, then only the spark plug in the cylinder with the bad fuel injector would be black. The others would appear normal.

The IS220d has a diesel engine, hence he won't smell gasoline, nor be able to check spark plugs.

Sorry about that. I was wondering what the model 220D was. Ignore my post.
