Is there any easy way to do this? Or a better way? It seems like the middle of the back seat is too elevated to safely hook in the car seat. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I don't think you can place it in the middle. It has to go on one of the side seats in the back. I ususally place it on the passanger side of the back seat if I need to take my neice or nephew anywhere.

I’ve had my daughter ( now 5) in the passenger side and there’s enough room for her. It’s a little tight for the front passenger but definitely doable. It’s better now that she’s in a high back booster.

Rear facing infant seat is hard on driver side depending on how tall you are. Normal car seat can fit but expect kicks and dirty seat backs.
I run two kids seats in mine all the time. Effectively makes it a 2 seater most of the time without the kids

Same here. I had a rear facing seat until my kid could be turned around. Now I have a regular baby seat and a booster. It works fine, but my wife and I aren’t tall either.

Did you have a rear facing behind drivers seat? When you say aren’t tall are you over 5ft ☺️

I had an infant seat in the middle, worked fine. It was essentially lodged between the driver's and passenger's seats though. I tried to squeeze it behind the driver's seat one time and that was comical. Made for a very uncomfortable passenger seating as well when I moved it to that side. Even forward facing leaves very little legroom for the kids, my 5 year old can't sit behind my seat and I'm not even that tall (5'10" ish).

i am only 4ft 11 and am basically the only driver of our Lexus. I have a 3yr old forward facing behind passenger so I feel a rear facing seat would fit behind driver as i need to have the driver seat quite close to the front. (Not much leg room needed here lol)

Oh wow. I think you should be fine. I think the convertible seats consume a little more space though. I’m 6-3 , so she has to go on the passenger side.

If you're 4'11" you'll be fine. My wife is like 5'2" and was OK with the rear-facing car seat behind the driver's side.
