Question Where's the rear defrost timer circuit? No bubbles in Tint

I'd like to open and modify the timer reducing its on time so that if the car is driven by others, the tint won't bubble. Anyone have any solid information on where it might be located?
Its likely digital IC so the best bet may be to simply interrupt the power with my own circuit at the source so it turns off after 5min. This will leave the indicator light on which i don't care for. Another consideration is keeping it latched off for say 5min to allow it to cool. So, maybe a toggle circuit? On for 5 and off for 5?

Any thoughts?

Also, if you go looking for a How to Remove the 3rd brake light, here it is.
