Ugh! I tried to swerve to miss this huge pothole, but I was too late. Now that side of my car makes clinking noises when I go over uneven surfaces.
You think it's the control arm?

It's the strut! I have aftermarket suspension - is there a way you can just buy one front strut? I just saw where they sell all four for $995.
Orrr...can I just buy 4 regular struts? Sorry to ask a dumb question - but I don't know a lot about cars.

You best just take it to a trusted shop and get an inspection. The last thing you want is loss of control from a failed part.
At the very least you may have damaged the tire and wheel on a bad hole. This may be felt as a vibration in the steering wheel when over 40mph or so.

We have an upper control A-arm/wishbone, that when coupled to the spindle and lower control arm, locate it the wheels position. So these are shocks and springs. Aftermarket none OEM are coil over shocks. Although technically; so are the oem parts.
Anyways....
