carbon buildup problem ?
Hi there,
So I am having amazing Lexus IS250 2008. I am truly in love with the car.
But I have a problem. -- Once in a while my Lexus engine shuts down without any reason. Sometime it happens while driving and then suddenly it starts up again on the move without giving any error codes. Some times it happens after stopping - in this case car doesn`t start up immediately. In this case after restarting the engine the car gives me "check the VSC" error together with AFS OFF.
Check the video of the error lights here:
After trying to restart the car couple of times the error lights are gone and car goes as normal. The alternator is checked and it is OK, the battery is new as this was happening before battery replacement. [actually I changed it hoping it will help] And I cant describe any pattern in this issue. Some time it happen after driving 50-70km or sometimes it doesn`t happen at all after driving full to full fuel tank.
Can it be a carbon build up ?
Let me know your thoughts about this. Thanks in advance.
