Strange problem with car starting and resetting certain car settings
Hi all,
Bone stock 2006 IS250 (non-navi). Yesterday, the car had a really slow crank to start in the morning (like the battery was dead). After driving it and leaving it parked for a fe whours, it wouldn't start. I heard the starter clicks, but nothing. AAA came out and gave me a jump. They said battery and alternator tested good. Battery is ~ 2 years old. Alternator is ~1 year old.
This morning, same issue. Slow crank but started. After leaving it parked for a few hours, i got in and again slow crank but started. I jumped on the highway and realized two things:
1) Doors did not automatically lock after 13mph (they stayed unlocked until i locked them)
2) The A/C temp changed from where i set it to 72 degrees earlier in the morning to 'low'.
That is new behavior that i have never seen before. My radio presets are fine and no alarms/alerts on the dashboard. No lights were left on and nothing is plugged into the outlets.
Initially i thought the battery is going, but with settings resetting on me, perhaps it's more computer related? Any thoughts on what it may be?

But have the battery tested as well because a bad ALT can cause a good battery to go bad quick.
