Default Brake Master/Booster Going Bad??

Recently the brake pedal feels abnormal. At a stop light the pedal will sometimes sink slightly then stop. When I first start the engine and press the brake pedal, the pedal is hard until the engine starts.

Otherwise the brakes work as normal and there is no red brake warning light on the dash display.

**My concern is that the brake master/booster is going bad and I will lose the brakes when driving which will be disastrous**

Any ideas????????

If you are at a complete stop with the brake pedal firmly pressed and the brake pedal sinks at all, yes, time for a new booster/ MC.

Is there the possibility of brake failure?
