Changing my i today and put on a wiz xp filter except it looks a bit short. Does this look ok to you guy? Def shorter than the previous filter I took off. Thanks!
That's extremely disappointing. Wix, Rock Auto and Amazon all list the 57047xp as the right filter, amazon has multiple reviews about people using it as well. Its strange because the 2006+ all use the same engine.
Do you know if not covering the entire filter housing will be an issue? I heard it may cause the oil to bypass the filter entirely which would be pretty bad.

Yeah I would just get the right one. As you see in your setup you have about .250" gap left. It could easily push up and collapse the filter itself. I've used K&N filters, and they are no good they collapse in the middle. I would stick with OEM they seem to hold up very well for 5K oil change intervals.
Doing a little research, it appears that your correct OEM filter is PN04152-YZZA5. It doesn't look like Wix makes an XP version of that filter, just the regular one.
Thanks, I just ordered a batch of oem filters. I’ll call rockauto in morning to see if they’ll refund me. I’m probably gonna lose a bunch of oil when I swap out the filters, bummer.
