I have a Lexus is 250 2008.
Has anyone ever experienced steering wheel vibration while on idle drive. I've replaced the engine mounts and done the walnut blast but only feel it every once and awhile. Rotors and pads are new almost thinking it's normal but not sure if I've missed other places to check.
Any ideas would appreciate it

[QUOTE=I steering wheel vibration while on idle drive. [/QUOTE]
as when stopped? or when driving?
or when idling in Drive stopped?
Last one is pretty common IS350, on 250 may be carbon on valves or maf needs a clean.
Revs drop a bit to low. When you put in park revs lift and vibration stops.

I clean the Maf and do suffer from a bit of carb build up. I recently got all spark plugs changed and now when I drive about 80mph and let go of the gas, i get this vibration in the steering wheel.
I look at the RPM's and when i let go of gas the RPMS kinda adjust them self following the vibration. This only happens on highway. It never use to be this way until i got plugs changed.
hmm. I dont know. Had alignment done, still need top engine clean for 600 to rid some of the carb issue

vibration in the steering wheel or the shimmy you're experiencing is most likely the result of out of balance front wheels or you could have bent wheels. It isn't an engine related issue. Might just be a coincidence that you noticed it after the plugs were replaced. Have just your front wheels rebalanced preferably on a road force balancing machine at any reputable tire shop and see if that cures the steering vibration. Im 99% sure it will.
And just an FYI, a top engine clean for $600 is extremely pricey..dont mean to be rude but i think you're getting ripped off

my lower control arm bushings are starting to tear but wouldn't I hear more of a clunking sound if they were really in poor shape? When I move the lower control arm I can see it almost trying to RIP if this could be the cause then I'll take care of it

I had slight surface cracks on my LCAB as well and didn't have vibration. Tears are normal wear and tear. Don't be too concerned about it. You can replace them later down the line.. I would check the wheels if they're bent and have them re-balanced. That should be your first thing to consider.
