Default Diff Fluid Changes and other Fluid changes (90k)

Hey everyone i have a 2009 is250 and go in for my 90k oil change. Besides the oil change, i was going to have my brake fluid flush done..
Been reading and it appears some are recommending changing the front/rear differential fluid, transmission? I have never had any other fluids changed outside of brake fluid and the regular oil change. Please help!

Thanks!

Yoda coolant every 8 to 10 years. Any other coolant every 5 years MAX!!!!!
Dot 3 brake fluid, every 3 to 4 years. It absorbs moisture.
Diff fluid every 70 to 90k. 70 if high humidity or hard use.
Tranny 70k max. 50k if abused.
Xfer case 90k. Less if you swamp it.

Just the rules I made up. Yours may vary... Abuse means you need to look things over more often.

Yota, Yoda = Toyota

XFer = Transfer Case

It's a sealed unit. It can still be drain, and filled by a trained tech, or a mechanically inclined person.

Drain, and fill is not worth it unless it's all changed at once. The RWD IS250 will probably drop about 2+ quarts only. You'll end up paying $300 ball park at the dealership which is a joke.

Find a shop that will do it with a fluid exchange machine for sealed units that require the (puck).

Drain and fill is 4QTS for the AWD, which shares the fluid with the transfer case. If you can get a good price get it.

The rwd 350 had the recall work done yesterday and I asked the writer for a quote and to know how much oil actually gets swapped for this $300 flush service (yes. Quoted $300). He says 3 to 4 qts, no filter, no gasket. Dear god... that's nuts! No!

Once drained start it twice for like 4 seconds, then the dump pan and filter and you get about 1/2 out all in one step.

Upon refill be sure to start it once it has 3 qts in or it will overflow! Then add remaining fluid!

90k is past time for a fluid dump on the trans! Do it!

Yikes. When I had my trans fluid done, it was $258 at Lexus of Memphis and they had the fluid exchange machine so it was all changed out (I remember being specific about this as I wasn't going to pay that much for a drain and refill that I could do at home). I forget exactly where they hook the machine up to, but I remember looking underneath once they were done and saw some fluid that dripped out on the line they used.

Next month go back for front and rear diff and the trans & xfer case! Done!

I would opt for synthetic in all of the above items!
Dealer may not do this tho!
