Default HID Conversion to LED

My lexus is250 has factory HID wanted to get new headlight with led strip but if wont fit was wondering if i can convert them to LED bulbs Or Buy aftermarket HIDs to fit with the new headlights anybody have the same problem.. thank you guys

Default Hey guys

I have the stock factory HIDs on my lexus 08 is250 they are old i just bought all new body kit and led taillights got the 3s front end conversion too but all the aftermarket headlights are for halogen lexus only not compatible with mine was wondering if i could buy those headlight with the DRLs and ether convet them to LED or Put in aftermarket HID can it be done??? this is so annoying lol.. Thank you all i appreciate all the help...

there is a treasure trove of info if you use the CL search. “Depo headlight” there is a 300+ Long thread with everything u need to know. My YouTube is also full of videos.

Unless you do a real internal LED (OEM) retrofit/conversion, I wouldn't touch any LED insert type bulbs. I don't even know if they make a re-based LED bulb to fit a D2S/D4S or whatever OEM HID socket your car uses. I wouldn't try it. Real LED lighting needs real projection, real power, and real heat management. All of which a aftermarket "bulb" doesn't have.

I'd recommend a BI-LED projection conversion. Preferably OE (KOITO) or there's some decent aftermarket ones too. Check TRS.

Headlights (good light anyway) is not as simple as plugging stuff in. There's a ton of precise details that must be right.

Personally if I were you i'd polish the headlights on the outside and purchase new HID bulbs (they fade heavily over time) and the difference will be night and day.
