I've only seen people talk about the relative temperature ranges on the gauges. Does anyone know what the normal operating temp range should be for the coolant? At what temp (in F) would the red line be?

The OE thermostat is for 180F.
THERMOSTAT TEMPERATURES
The gauge for what I see normal is a few tiks under the 1/2 mark.

THERMOSTAT TEMPERATURES
- Thermostats have a “rated” temperature such as 180F or 195F
- This is the temperature the thermostat will start to open, give or take 3 degrees
- The thermostat fully open about 15-20 degrees above its rated temperature
The gauge for what I see normal is a few tiks under the 1/2 mark.

Mine read between 175-182 F mixed city/hwy, with ambient temperatures in the 60s when I had a scan gauge2 monitoring it. The gauge needle on the dash stays a tick under half way.
Trans temp between 195-205 F, fwiw.
Trans temp between 195-205 F, fwiw.
