Default Engine losing power fluid in engine not water... Hmmm

So i changed my oil almost 3 months ago n put in 6 quarts... Lately its been running slower n slower so I decided to poke around under the hood like I know what im doing... Obviously pulling out the dipstick was my first objective n pretty much the only one I'm the most confident about... So from the 2nd dip to about the 10th wiping in between of course, one side is marking over full and other side is marking past intention on the stick with a couple clear spots in between about an inch long each... I kno I don't know a whole lot about cars but I do know that that's not a good sign... And this was before u went anywhere so engine running not a factor... Any suggestions???

The is250 is 6.7 QTS of oil with new filter rwd, AWD is 6.8.

What your describing is normal on the dipstick. It really hard to gauge it. It takes a few trial, and errors.

If you have no check engine lights. It all should be good.

Since you don't know much about cars. I would say take it in for a diagnostic to a good shop, or the dealer.

It's probably just as simple as some basic tune-up needed.
