Default Turn signals etc. don’t work.

Hi. Does anyone know what could cause all my electrical problems?

I just bought a 2008 IS250 AWD. 125K miles on it.

The turn signals, high beams, horn, key fob remote (unless I unplug the outermost plug on the wiper stalk) do not work. Wipers only work on high too!

I have the code P0705 I have a new neutral safety switch ordered.

I thought I could fix this on my own.

Apparently, I was very very wrong. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Thanks!

Check the ECU IG fuse. Located on both the front and driver side. Had the same issue. Turned out the drive side fuse was blown.

Both had continuity. I just tested them. Thank you very much for sharing what fixed yours! This is driving me crazy. I just want to enjoy this car.

i rented a scan tool and i had to rev it to 2000rpms for 25 seconds,I think. It had 14 volts iirc. It looks original though! A little corroded.

The backup camera doesn’t work either. It just stays on the navigation when I put it in reverse.

It just blows my mind that the fob only works to unlock and lock the doors when I unplug the wiper stalk. I found a thread where a guy had the exact same problems, but never said what the fix was. I tried to message him. He even replaced his alternator and it didn’t help.

If you have to unplug the stalk for everything to work. It's probably a short on the actual stalk itself.

The thing is, that unplugging the stalk only fixes the remote on the key fob. Turn signals horn brights still a no go.
