Hi
I replaced my ALT today and after replacement the red battery indicator turned on.
The battery lamp turns constantly after starting the car.
The output voltage in idle is 13.9.
The light wasn't on before switching to the new ALT.
We double checked all the connection, everything seems to be in place.
Any help with this issue will be very appreciated.
Thanks.

Just asking but is there a ALT fuse blown or something that can be replaced in the fuse box? Can we do a soft program reset? Does it specify in maybe manual or online that driving it for a few days and the light will go off? Kinda like the gas cap issue where both lights go on and go off in a day or so of driving? There some Members on the Forum that I haven't seen post here yet, so I ll wait until they see it.

Same thing happened to my IS350 when I changed my alternator 3 months ago.
I turned it on and left it idle for ~2min just to warm it up a little bit and rev'd it about 2 times and it went away.
