Default Cheap OEM Fix for Auxillary (AUX) Port

Since I bought my 2006 IS250 used, my auxillary port has not been working. I didn't feel it was necessary to spend the $90+for a new aux port or even $40-$50 used on eBay.

While searching for one on eBay, I saw one from the Scion tC and it looked exactly the same as the Lexus ISx50 one. The part numbers were almost the same as well.
86190-53010 for the Scion vs 86190-53020 for the Lexus. The part number for the Scion one also corresponds to 2007-2010 ES350 and LS460.
This part costs $15.60 on LexusPartsNow. I bought mine used off of eBay for $15 shipped just to test it out. Just plugged it in and it worked!!

Only thing I haven't done is put it back in the slot, but I don't see why it shouldn't fit as they appear to be the same size.

Pictures for comparison below.

I used the YouTube video instructions to take it apart.

I installed a Bluetrip Bluetooth adapter, plug and play. Use it to stream Spotify on Waze.

You bought a used part for $15 when you could have got a new one for $15.60?

Shipping on lexuspartsnow cost $9 to me. So $24-25 total...both work the same.

Also your comment was very helpful.
