Replacement side mirror glass - missing part?
My passenger side view mirror glass broke. I've bought the replacement that includes the backing plate... but it still doesn't seem to fit (exact same part - number confirmed) I feel like there is another piece missing between the backplate and the motor for tilt. I went to the parts counter at the dealership and they weren't very helpful.
To me - it looks like something goes in that circular hole that connects to the motor that helps with tilt/adjustment.
Any ideas?

Yes! Nice find thanks. Anyone know what part number that is? I've looked at the 'exploded' parts view on Lexuspartsdirect.ca but I don't see it.
I'm worried that it comes with #2 which is the motor assembly and costs ~$300.

I’ve replaced both of my side mirrors and it was always more efficient to buy an entire used side mirror assembly on eBay, then remove the parts I needed from the entire assembly. Just make sure you buy factory assemblies, a lot of oem assemblies have different internals.
I would also practice putting the mirror onto the assembly before actually trying it as it’s very easy to crack the mirror. The trick is to put a screw driver behind the part where it clips in for support to keep the rest of the mirror from bending.
