Default Is it possible to bypass the locks?

I found the inside of my is250 had been gone through by someone. The glovebox and centre console were open with some stuff stolen but no windows broken or signs of forced entry. I always keep my car locked unless I somehow forgot which I find unlikely I always wait for the lock and beep after pressing the lock button on the handle

Is there any way to bypass the locks like that or gain access to the car? I only see two options: I left it unlocked by mistake or the person had one of those devices that can copy the remote

Anyone have any ideas? I'm just a little concerned and now double check that I lock the car

Probably left it unlocked by mistake, or good chance you may have hit the unlock on accident after you locked it and walked inside (I know I've done this at least). If they had one of those remotes, they're more likely to take the car than just take some stuff out of your car.

If the car was parked outdoor, probably it was not locked. Mistakes do happen.

maybe you left another door ajar after getting out of the car? if the door isn't properly closed it might give you a long beep sound but it's not similar to the lock so prob not the case

Once the car is locked, if you accidentally (or intentionally) press the unlock button on the fob and don't subsequently open a door, the car should automatically re-lock in 60 seconds. I know that time delay before auto re-lock can be adjusted with Techstream, but I don't think the feature can be disabled.

On the other hand, it is very easy to accidentally open the windows in the manner you describe (if not disabled by Techstream), though the OP didn't mention finding the windows rolled down.
