Hai guys
There is a rattling noise from inside the cabin of my 2008 IS 300 (middle east spec). It comes when i drive at low speeds only. Does not come during idling or driving at normal speeds. When i sit in driver seat it feels its coming from the passenger side and vice versa. I cant quite identify where the sound is coming from. It sounds mostly from the centre part of the cabin. When I slow down the noise keeps coming back. Its like a rattling vibrating noise. Also when I do 100 miles an hr speeds there is a weird noise from back of the car. It sounds like a vibration as I can feel it on the accelerator and on the car( may be tires, car sits all day in one place).
TY

creaks and sounds are normal for old cars like ours.
I found that the door seals do make noise when hitting bumps. cleaning them and the metal it touches helps.
at 100mph the vibration is most likely wind, drivetrain, suspension, or wheel dependent.
I am leaning towards a wheel not balanced, then suspension (bushing/shocks), then wind, then lastly drivetrain like the axles/driveshaft.

For the rattling noise first thing I would check the heat shields over exhaust and manifold. My 2011 used to make the same rattling noise you described. Took it to a muffler shop, guy put it up on the hoist looked it up, banged around the exhaust from top to bottom, everything was great, nothing seemed loose. He said heat shields are prone to buzzing noise and suggested cutting them off. I said go ahead, chop these things off.
Drove the car around the block, returned to the shop with big smile, all the buzzing was gone. The best $20 dollars spent.
