so i have been searching the forums and i dont really see anything about it. i have an is350, that i would like to autocross frequently. i have f-sport springs on the way, and i would like to use 17" wheels for cheaper tires, but other than the factory 17's everything ive found are larger. can anyone please share their rides and specs on 17s on a 2IS please. Thanks!

per this thread, the stock 17s will fit under the is350 front brake calipers (which is really the main concern).
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...-possible.html
so find aftermarket wheels with the same offsets and spoke design of the factory 17s .
remember: offset does NOT guarantee they will clear the calipers, so you must consider the spoke design (or wheel disc/pad)!
I would find wider than stock 17s for track use.
fitment will ultimately depend on a balance of tire brand/size, ride height, and wheels offset.

thanks a bunch timmy, i had found that thread and saw the stock wheels photo. i appreciate it! i know the common thing with these cars are to go bigger with wheels, but i was surprised how hard it is to find aftermarket 17's on them.

I've got 17s on my tree-fiddy. In the winter I run stock 17s. In the summer Enkei PF01s - 17 x 8.5 et 40 on the front, 17 x 9 et 35 on the back. I would like to have 9" wide on the front and 9.5" on the back, but my rear 9" wheels won't clear the calipers in the front. Summer tires are Continental Extremecontact sports, 255-40 on the front and 275-40 on the back. If you are looking for autocross tires I think both Falken and Nitto make those sizes in "200 treadwear" tires.
User "Low Life" had 17" Enkei RPF1s on his car as well, 99.9% of the rest of the people on the boards think I'm nuts for downsizing.
