So for a few weeks i have been trying to DIY paint my diffuser with many issues with the actual colour itself lol. My results were mixed. At first i wanted to paint it a matte black but little did i know that matte black essentially turns out a dark grey and not an actual black without gloss (i don't want a glossy look), So that was a fail...next up i decided to try a satin black because i thought it would actually give me a deep black colour without crazy gloss...That didn't work out either because it almost turned out the same colour as the matte black with just a touch of gloss and not to glossy...Yet another fail...finally i decided to try out a trim and bumper paint and finally the results i was looking for. It came out black without too much gloss and makes the diffuser look like a separate piece of hardware that is finished yet not glossy. Sheesh anyways 3 attempts later. If you were looking to do the same thing with really any piece i would recommend using the trim and bumper black paint. Don't make the same mistake i did by wasting time on 2 failed attempts because the colours on the matte and satin black spray can caps do not come out the same on a diffuser.I do not know how to post pics yet but i will do so once the rear diffuser goes back on the car probably when it gets warmer. The real question now is once it's on how durable hat type of paint is going to be. We just had some harsh winter activity and where i am from there are extreme temperature variances throughout the year lol.

Is this the SGM color paint? looks pretty good and Ive been thinking of getting this diffuser for my own IS 250 but Im not sure how it will look with the smoky gray mica color and the matte black unless I paint it to match the SGM. Do you have any more pictures?
