Default Remote starter

I currently have 2012 is and have viper smart start remote starter installed. Problem is when engine cold, remote. Starter cranks car but won’t turn over. Car starts fine manually by the way. And if I start car manually and then shut off and hit remote start then it starts!! Please help!! Also just had system reprogrammed and still does same thing

Will require a visit back to your installer. Most likely the tach wire wasn't setup correctly, or wasn't setup at all (in which case, it cranks it for a set amount of time and stops). I had the same issue with one of my older cars and had to have the installer properly setup the tach wire to crank until it senses RPM.

If the car cranks, but not long enough, there is a setting to change the crank time -- default it's 0.6sec.
