I went in for a basic oil change at jiffy lube and the tech filled up my is250 with regular coolant to top it off from being low. Not the long life pink stuff it had originally. Now the coolant is a brownish color.
This never happened to me before and I’m wondering if it’ll cause any issues. A google search said mixing wrong coolant in general can shorten the life and may cause damage to hoses and radiator.
Should I drain the radiator from the bottom and refill with Toyota pink coolant? I don’t want to go through the trouble of draining the engine block as my research indicates it’s needed to get out all coolant... I figure from the radiator is enough.
Thanks,

I wouldn't worry... I added about 1 & 1/2 gal of Prestone coolant (the green stuff) when I replaced the water pump a few years ago.. Car has been running without any cooling issues and the temp reading gauge shows normal.
