Need help with my trunk switch please
So this winter i noticed my switch on the trunk was missing out sometimes , now its not working anymore but its working with the key fob button and from inside the car . I tried my 2 keyfob no difference .
The switch seems to do the same that it was before when i press on it , just nothing happening .
Im not sure if theres a smartkey receiver for the trunk only ?
The front doors detects the key so im confused .
is there a way to test the switch on the trunk ?
I know theres a signal receiver or something like that besides the spare tire , could that be the problem ? That part !!
I NEED HELP

About once a month I have to push my valet switch. Don’t know why it does that but no big deal.
I know exactly what is is when the trunk won’t open. And usually my hands are full.

Since the OP says that his trunk opens fine with the key fob and the interior trunk release button, that rules out the valet button, as the valet button disables those too, The fact that the problem was intermittent before it failed completely makes me think he is on the right track with trying to test the exterior trunk release button. Here is a thread about replacement: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...placement.html If it were my car, I probably remove it from the car and test it with a multimeter.
