New IS350 Owner
Hello all,
This weekend I purchased a 2012 Lexus IS350 FSport with around 69k miles. The car is a lot of fun to drive but I'm disappointed with its sound system (non Mark Levinson). Everything sounds kind of flat. I was wondering if I should take it to my local Lexus dealership (it's about a mile from my house) and have them take a look at it. Has anyone else had an issue with this?
I was also wondering if anyon's done a n in depth audio upgrade guide on this forums. I tried searching for one earlier but didn't have much luck.

I found this which seems a little pricy IMO:

I don't think a sub would change the audio sounding a little flat/muffled. I feel like the amp not supplying enough power would be a better answer.

What are you using as a source?
If bluetooth'd from your phone you might need to modify the settings if for example they are tweaked for some other device like earbuds or ???
If playing direct from USB/MP3 disregard. That said it is unfortunate the H/U doesn't have an equalizer so options are limited.
Enjoy the new ride...

It is bluetooth from my phone. I tried using USB from my phone but the car didn't pick that up. I guess I could try putting something on a thumb-drive and seeing if that makes a difference. At some point in the future I did want to add in an aftermarket infotainment screen so I can have Android Auto again, most of those come with equalizers built in so maybe that will solve my problem.
I live in Virginia Beach I don't use Facebook though.

The Grom unit is pretty good I hear and will provide a lot of awesome features including the android operating system. We are having a huge lexus meet june 1st here in Richmond. We’re offering 50.00 dyno pulls and raffling off some other goodies as well.

I'm using this in my 2011 IS350 with stock everything else (non ML) and it sounds really good. Just adjust the stock for all mids and highs with bass turned down as far as you can get away with and mid still sounding good, then adjust the sub for the bass. It also comes with a bass **** so you can adjust gain for different kinds of music.
