Default Identifying voltage of the tiny dome light on acc

Hello, I am trying to hardwire my dash cam and would like to cut into the cable that provides power to the tiny light on the dome that lights up on the first position of the ignition switch (ACC). Does anyone know what voltage that cable provides? 5V or 12V? Thanks!

It's probably 12V; you can check with a multimeter to be sure. I think there is a power source in rear view mirror connection that's more commonly used with dashcams.

I agree that location for 12v key on, is kinda strange.
Plus wouldnt you want you dash cam on even when youre parked?
