So it seems as if the tow hole screw for the adapter doesn't fit and just rubs against the metal inside the tow hole, it doesn't reach the threads to screw because something is blocking it but nothing's there.

Silver piece in the back is what it's grinding on

If anybody can help that would be appreciated or just link me a license plate adapter that fits because mine for some reason doesn't but it said it did.. plz help
