Trying to install a 2011 Lexus IS unit in my 08 ISF. I know someone has to have done this (even tho most say it cant be done)

I have a 2007 car with ML nav and a 2010 nav that I acquired a while ago, and now that I have a bit of free time I am considering playing with it again.

Last time I attempted the retrofit I managed to get the 2010 unit powered up and I think the nav worked but none of the other functions worked (heating a/c and audio etc.) because I was missing the wiring harness for 2010 - the connectors are different. How did you manage to get around this problem?

I havent @AFlex got close but then got lazy.. I will eventually get it done.

 

I know the feeling mate - I bought the 2010 unit back in 2018 and still haven't fitted it!

After one baby and a global pandemic later, I'm looking to give it another try

What are you going to do about the different connectors? Are you going to tap wires yourself or do you have someone making a new harness for you?
