Angry 2009 IS250 Navigation screen died after change

Hello, my screen on my Lexus IS250 Navigation Display was cracked is multiple places and I could no longer use 90% of it. I decided to order a new screen online, and although it said USA, I think it was still from China but just shipped from US. I followed all instructions to remove the entire nav unit from the dash, and then followed detailed instructions to remove old screen, not LCD and screen, but I just remove the digitizer from the LCD display. I realized the connector looked different on the new screen, but plugged it in anyway, and low and behold after reinstalling the unit into the car, the entire screen is non-responsive, with no backlight, no power at all; however the buttons work (A/C and radio) work. I am at a loss now what to do. But even if the screen is from China, why wouldn't I get something at all on the screen?
