Default Do I have a leak in my A/C system and how bad is this?

2012 IS250. Image 1 the bright blue cap is my low pressure charging port. The only apparent leak I found was the hose (i think its a hose) directly under the low pressure charging port. Image 2 and 3 was just me moving a little bit down that same hose to show the dye.

I am not sure what part this is that has the dye on it. To me this looks like a leak but I have no idea... thoughts?

A leak will either show green, or yellow if it's a leak. I may be wrong though.

Harbor freight sells a electronic leak detector for about $65. Works great I used it on a truck that 3 different techs could not find a leak with the die. Took 20 minutes to narrow it down.

Can someone tell me where all I should be looking for a possible leak?????

I replaced the broken radiator fan motor and recharged my a/c and it stayed cold again for 3 days but today it was starting to get warm. Especially when I had the fan setting on high. It would be colder when I had it on the middle setting though.

So Where should I check for leaks with my UV kit?

It’s an electronic sniffer. It detects the chemicals in R134 and beeps faster when it detects a leak. It has different settings to pin point where the leak is.
It works much better than the dye. I’ve been doing A/C for many years and wish I had this years ago.

okay im going to go to harbor freight in a bit and grab one. So do I have to evacuate my refrigerant then recharge it and then drive around and test after that????

As long as the system is charged it will find the leak.
We couldn’t find a leak with die on a 2018 Mack LR613. With the truck off after charging and running the A/C for 20 minutes. I set the tester on a high. It brought me to the left side of the truck. Set it lower and it brought me to the heater box. Opened it up set the tester to a low setting and it brought me right to a hole in the evaporator core. Once removed I could see the dye.
