Default Any idea if this is oxidation vs clear coat issue?

Both under the window and back panel areas were not as bad as before I used a microfiber towel to hand compound/hand polish these areas. Before it just maybe looked a bit faded on the backpanel with roughish texture.

- now it looks alot worse than before.

Area of the paint feels rougher than the undamaged areas

Any idea how to fix it or even if this is an issue with oxidation vs clearcoat?

If I had to guess it's been resprayed and the clear is either lacquer or some inferior polyurethane or enamel but likely the first of the three.

Best bet is color sand and repaint both base and clear with a quality paint.

Are you saying its gummy?
