IS-350 key fob, is it illuminated?
Hi,
First let me say thanks, I'm a new 2008 IS-350 owner and Club Lexus has already provided many answers to questions I've had.
That said search as I may not seeing an answer to this: Do the buttons on the key fob light up when pressed? I see the little red LED flash at the top but the "pad locks" (open and closed) as well as the trunk open button have a white silhouette against a black background which seems like it would be backlit, but nothing I can find indicates whether or not it should, or does.
When I bought the car there was an error message in the dash that said the key battery was low and so it has been recently replaced.
I purchased the car from Carmax and have free warranty repairs for 3 months so I am looking to have everything buttoned up before that runs out.
Kind thanks in advance,
JB

Buttons are not lit up. The only thing that does is that red light when a button is pressed. If you would like to see for yourself, pop open the keyfob and it'll show there are no LEDs on the buttons (easily done by removing the key portion, inserting the end of the key into a little notch on the side where the key was, twisting and it should pop open). Good opportunity for you to learn how to change the battery yourself in the future, it's just a standard CR1632 button battery.
