Default Weak battery or dying alternator?

So recently, I noticed my car has been starting up pretty sluggish, as if the battery doesn't have enough power. One night, I ran my hazards for about 2 minutes max to take some photos and the car died on me. It has also died on me while sitting for a couple hours at work. I assumed it was a weak battery (don't think the battery was changed before I bought the car .. 3 years of ownership now) until I started it up recently. Currently, the car is stored with a battery tender connected for the winter. Had to move the car one day to get some stuff out the garage and it started up just fine. Moved the car and turned it off for about 15-20 minutes. Starting the car up again to put it back inside, it started up kinda sluggish again. Anyone know if this is due to a weak battery or the alternator going out? My spark plugs haven't been touched in a while also if that has anything to do with it. Any information helps.

Here's a quick video I took not too long ago. There's been a lot of weaker cranks before and after, but this is the only one I have on record.

Fastest way to check is take it to your local auto parts store. They will test the battery, and alternator for free.

If you have a DMM you can do it yourself many YouTube videos on this topic.

It does sound like your ALT is bad.

Oddly, when mine went bad while driving, the largest AMP draw was the usage of the turn signals. So when you mentioned your car dying while using the E-flashers...that would make sense.

Some tests needed, take it to an auto store and they can tell you if it is the Alternator or your battery is going out. How old is the battery, do you know?

Got a multimeter?

While the car is on, your battery should be at 13-14 volts, anything below that means ur alternator is on the way out.

While the car is off, your battery should be at 12 volts, anything below that then your battery dead

From my previous experience about a month ago now, it sounds exactly like a dying alternator but you should still double check by testing the battery like the other members have posted. Every time I would start my car I'd have to hold the button so it could actually start and not just crank for a quick second. I'd suggest getting it replaced soon or doing it yourself once you get confirmation, there's lots of great DIY alternator replacements on here so you could save yourself some money.
