IS350 Code P0020 - Camshaft sensor problem
Hi guys,
My 2006 Lexus IS350 with 170K miles has 1 code I can't figure out how to fix. The code is P0020 (Camshaft Position 'A' Actuator Circuit Bank 2). I replaced both bank 2 VVT senors and reset the MIL and it came back within seconds. I tried cleaning the sensor plugs with no luck as well. The P0020 is the only code I have. Any thoughts on this? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The actuator solenoid in question (round, skinny, long) is on the intake of bank2 which when sitting in the vehicle looking forward is the top left solenoid. The code indicates an open or short in that circuit to that solenoid so inspect those wires.
Do you have an ohm meter? If not, get one. Sometimes called a hand held DMM. Basics are they measure voltage in AC and DC as well as ohms of resistance.
In this picture, near the front are the sensors in black. One on each side.
Your focus is the silver solenoid just behind the oil fill cap.
Note: two of the sensors are not visible.
