Good Car Battery Dies Very Quick!
I own a 2008 Lexus IS250. I recently got the alternator changed (~2months ago) and the battery was changed about 7 months ago. I also got the battery checked both with a mechanic and at Auto-zone and both places said that it was good. The problem is that I find at times my battery drains extremely quick (as little as 5-7 minutes) this normally happens when the car is off and its unlocked and i'm near it. It has happened when pumping gas. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with my key fob or anything like that. It doesn't get drained when I leave it out over night and although at times might hesitate, it always starts right up. Any suggestions?

You'll need to grab a multimeter and do some checking. If there is a parasitic draw it should be easy to find. I've had a $10 multimeter for years and it has saved me money and time. Well worth it.

Sounds possibme to be a bad cable or connection. What do you do to start it if this happens?
There has been a couple of NEW starter, new battery, new alternator scenes where the end result was a bad cable. You have to get the energy to the load or it looks like major components have failed when they haven't.
