When I reach my 70K service, I will also be flushing my transmission fluid and replacing it with Amsoil OE Automatic Trans Fluid I picked up for $30 a gallon (two gallons)

This summer the 350 will be at 95,000 and will be done.
Plan is a one time event that replaces all the fluid at one time!

How? I have used pan and that pan has a hole in it where the filter inlet attaches to the valve body. I'm going to feed the pickup tube new fluid allowing the torque converter to dump its contents into the pan without mixing old and new.

So, the trans will get 6 quarts of new fluid directly, without mixing. Once consumed, engine off, install new filter, pan and fill as needed checking at designated temperature.

If this goes to plan, maybe I'll ship the setup out for a nominal fee. Time wise it won't take long at all and the benefit is all fresh fluid without having to repeat the process of blocking the car, cooling it overnight repeatedly, and still having mixed fluid when done.

I'll keep you posted....

Very interesting! Curious to see this setup and how it all works. Definitely deserves its own thread.

When it comes time, will do. I need to machine the adapter that fits in place of the filter connecting to a conventional size of tube. Other than that, its pretty straight forward.

I do have one item that caught my eye... OBD Fusion thinks the transmission temp goes up way quicker than I believe, so I need to get techstream on there and verify a few cold starts and see if it's telling the truth.

Bottom line is mixing bothers me. I just want fresh fluid in there.....
