Default What's your Average Fuel Mileage?

I'm getting a lot of gruff for being upset about 24mpg in a car that has such a small engine and doesn't really have much power. But I also just saw a 350 owner's photo with 32mpg average on the dash, so I'm curious if there's something wrong with my 250.

On a trip to Southern California from Northern Cal (370 miles each way) I averaged about 27 MPG driving about 80 mph

LOL the best I've seen for my on my AWD is about 22 mpg 50/50 city/hwy diving. I get about 26 on a long haul run though. Depending on my speed at the time. The cluster is about a 2 mpg discrepancy. You can reset the gauge back to zero from the steering wheel. Just hold the button down for a few seconds after a fill up. Also cold weather will bring mileage down as well. I've so far get better gas mileage using Shell gas. Even the numbers go up on the cluster, but I've yet to calculate correctly to verify. Just the butt dyno feels like the car is running optimal.

Best way to calculate MPG.

25-27 on the highway. 20-22 local. That local takes a dump down to 17-18 (or even 15ish when it's really cold) in the winter.

Im getting 26.4 mpg. The number never changes on hwy or city driving. Usually 30 minute commute
Mine only goes down to 22.1 when an Oil change is due. Then when i get the change performed it goes back up to 26.4
I use Marvel Mystery oil, STP fuel injector cleaners and Honey Motor oil treatment.
Originally when i purchased the vehicle almost 3 years ago it was getting 19mpg right off the lot.

2010 IS 250
130k miles
no mods all stock.

Replaced: brake pads, spark plugs, coolant flush and normal oil changes.

On my 09 IS250 that I've driven for exactly 1 year (when I got the car and reset the counter), I'm averaging 26.0. That's mostly highway miles with some traffic sprinkled in. Not too much city driving.

I'll average high 26s to 27 on the tank MPG if I'm doing just smooth highway.

My previous car was a newer Ford Fusion and I averaged 29.1 doing the same commute. Not a bad adjustment.

My commute is changing to a little bit more stop and go so we'll see how much it changes.

During my DD'ing, I net 20-21 mpgs. Nearing 100% city driving. This past year, during a trip to New Orleans, I netted a high of 28 mpg on the highway. This on max performance summer tire at 40 psi with two adults and maxed out trunk and back seat with luggage.

My dash has always read about 3-4mpg higher than what I actually get. I drive a lot of highway miles and use the same gas station and pump. I fuel up at roughly the same time when I do and have logged my mpg. I average between 23-28 mpg real world depending on how aggressive I drive, time of year and if I'm using the AC a lot. This is a RWD IS250.

Ouch! 18.0 was my worst cold week adventure while playing hard and in ETC mode.

Typical 21 to 22 mix of 60% city / 40% highway. Drops 1mpg in winter.
Best road trip averaging 80mph was 26.5mpg... Mind you I live in the Cascades so it's anything but flat here.

Where do i start? I'm seeing 14.5 mpg on my display, everything seems to run fine. What should i be looking at to get higher mileage? I have only had the IS250 for about 2 months. 104,000 miles.

17 highway/city. I be driving ~90 mph to and from work on the tolls. *shrugs* Noticed a drop in MPG after installing 19" wheels.
