How many miles before the junkyard?

How many miles before the junkyard?
Some Lexus models, people speak of getting 500,000 miles before an engine or transmission failure. Has anyone heard of an IS250 having such success? Or is 250k about the outside limit?

IMO I think a properly maintained 2IS can last a long time. Certainly more than 250k! Our '08 IS250 has 170k and runs great. It's all about regular maintenance. Take care of your car and it will take care of you

Its all about maintenance for it and hopefully having all the recalls done on it, but I would say the tranny seems to fail more often than the engines do.... so stay on top of the fluid maintenance for them otherwise I wouldn't be surprised for 250k plus since it basically is a toyota.
Edit- Also it seems like someone has a thread about them reaching near 250k with there IS and it was MoLexus who started it.... check it out!
