Hi when i close the sunroof it goes 3/4 the way then retracts back. I have tried resetting it by holding power button for 10secs or longer and that did not work. If i hold wind damper thing down with something thin while closing it ..then it will close. Any suggestions would greatly appreciated!

Sounds like the safety system is not allowing the roof to go past a certain point.
If the closing roof encounters some resistance when closing it thinks that someone may be trapped and stops and reverses back open. The way it detects this is by excess load on the motor and a rise in the current draw in the supply circuitry, so even if there is nothing Trapped in the roof if the runners / mechanism is fouled up with dirt / gunk / old grease then this will restrict the system's free movement and can trigger the safety system if it gets high enough!
By you holding down the deflector flap this relieves the system of some effort to close fully and then it works as it should.
Firstly I would check that the mechanism does not have any objects in it or any deformation of the moving parts then I would see if it needs cleaning out of any contaminates.
