Yep, quality motor oil all the way for extended service life. My car is getting up there in miles so I just follow the 5k recommended oil change intervals because it is consuming enough oil that it goes from the high to low mark during that time. Our cars have/had 10k recommended oil changes in Canada so its not surprising the Idemitsu oil would be good for 10k miles. I have always used Mobil 1 but now I'm considering swapping to the Kirkland stuff. I have a lot of cases of Mobil 1 to go through first though. Idemitsu is over $7qt on Amazon while the Kirkland stuff is less than $3qt. There's nothing to gain to extend the oil change interval with those prices.
