Battery Maintainer?
Is anyone using a battery maintainer on their IS? Has anyone tried a solar panel one? I'm considering options for two different cars and was surprised to see there's battery drainage issue mentioned with driving less but didn't see much about maintainers/chargers.
It's looking like I'll be working from home for the rest of the year so my IS250c will get driven maybe once a week now. I have a Noco Genius floating around I could setup if I got an accessory cable for faster connect/disconnect.
My Mom's IS250 has had a dead battery twice in 3 years. She doesn't have power near the parking spot so I'm thinking of getting her one of those solar panel chargers but don't know much about them like if they're susceptible to overcharging or not sufficient enough to help.

There are smart battery maintainers nowadays. Electronic and and is plug and play. About $50 with quick disconnect adapter.

Is your mom using Toyota/Lexus batteries? I have had REALLY bad luck with those. They do not last more than a couple of years. I rarely recommend anyone go to Wal-Mart but their Everstart MAXX batteries are fairly reliable. My car gets parked every other week for 7 days straight and I haven't had any issues with the battery.
