Owner said he would do $500 CAD.
do you guys think it's worth it for a sit of rims and Westlake winter tires? (Chinese brand)
Or should I keep looking for a more well known tire company?
Im interested just because it comes with a set of rims already.

I buy used snow tires (sometime with sometimes without rims) frequently finding excellent values on Craigs List. My opinion is this is a fair price provided the date code is NOT more than a few years old. The older - the less valuable - unless you are an industrial user of rubber and expect to burn these up pronto. Typically I get 5 years out of my snows. I run high performance summer rubber until Turkey Day and then swap out dedicated snows until St. Patrick's Day - and switch back. That gives me about 5 years out of the snows and 3, maybe 4 out of the summer. I will absolutely buy NEW from Tire Rack and find their tests and articles valuable. I always search CL tho, and when I find tires that fit my car or my kids - I investigate as used for one season is as good as new and 9 times out of 10 - an excellent value. Look up the "new" tread depth (manufactures web site or Tire Rack (if they sell it) and bring a tread depth gauge (cheap - invest in one IF you don't have one) and then you will KNOW how much wear is upon the tire. Be picky but be fair. Craig Lists ROCKS
