Help! [steering wheel clockspring problem]
#16
For some reason the add on package that I had purchased a few weeks ago uninstalled. I reinstalled it. And now I got a code C1290. I looked up this code and no one has gotten this code when their airbag light is on. Which is really weird. Everyone I seen get this code has the VSC light on.

I performed the zero point calibration and that code went away.
I looked up if fusion could pull airbag codes and it could if you change the PIDs i think they are called, correct me if I am wrong. So I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it when I came to this screen
I chose 'SRS Airbag'. With that, it downloaded different PIDs, again I don’t know for certain they are called that. Now it gave me codes related to the airbag.
I simply tapped clear codes and hopefully the codes stay away for good. . Yes I understand by simply clearing the codes it does not mean the problem is gone as the code may comeback later. But hopefully I fixed the problem that created those codes when I replaced the clockspring and all I needed was to figure out how to clear the codes. For now my dash is cleared of any lights.
