Strange transmission behavior
Hello,
i have an 06 IS250 AWD automatic transmission, 141k miles.
I drove it today for about 100 miles non stop... the temperature outside was around 90+ degrees. On my way home, about 20 miles away, it started raining hard, I slowed down due to traffic (10-15 mph), then when I stepped on the gas to move up, car would not pick up speed and made a rough noise for a while, speedometer show 40 mph, dash showed gear 6 engaged then 5.. This happened as soon as started raining and outside temps went from 90+ down to 80+.. after slowing down due to traffic, dash still showed gear 4 engaged so I switched to “manual” mode and put gear down to 1. After a while the car worked somewhat normal.. although still felt a bit rough when pressing gas. Hope someone has info that can help me figure out what’s wrong. The car never acted this way before.
