Best stereo for 06 is350
I just bought an 06 is350 that has the navigation. I want to be able to keep everything in tack and add something to it so I can have access to Apple CarPlay or use iPhone for music outside of using aux. is there a system like that other than navtool or is that my only option?

I believe the Grom Vline 2 does exactly what you want and it works in parallel with the factory system which you can return to at any moment. You just have to be aware the result can largely vary depending on the screen you have.
I thought to install it in my 2006 GS but I saw a video on an LX470 where the screen, similar to that in my car, is so ancient that the resolution and pitch makes the interface look horrible. So I might as well stick with the factory screen and install a Bluetooth adapter.
Maybe the 2006 IS already had the more modern screen and interface the GS got in 2007 or 2008, in that case it could do great. For example it got the 3.5 before the GS so maybe it got other newer features as well at the same time. In this case, I have in mind another video on a 2008 LS in which it looks great.
