Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 0W-20 wrong oil?
Looking to change oil and on NAPA it says the fitment is wrong? Should I just ignore it? It’s SAE 0W-20, so I don’t understand why it says that. ‘12 Lexus IS250 97k. Also is it ok to use synthetic high mileage oil?

I am sure that a quality 0W20 synthetic oil would work, but personally I would stick with what the manual recommends, a quality 5W30 (I would stick with synthetic). You could also go with a quality 0W30 synthetic

My manual and oil cap states 0W-20. I believe before the 2011s it was 5W-30?

On all of my Toyotas I've never used any special high mileage oils and have gone way beyond 150k with zero engine problems

Oh ok, than you are good! My 2010 IS350 uses 5W30, right now I'm using Idemitsu Synthetic 5W30. As long as the oil you are using meets all the standards, your fine.

Thanks. Yes the 350 is really nice. I was extremely lucky, I picked this one up from a friend (the only owner) in September with only 52K on it. He took care of it, looks and drives like new. In January Lexus replaced the dashboard under the extended sticky dash warranty. It's pretty much stock except for I added an F-Sport Sway bar set and upgraded the Lower Control Arm bushings with RR Racing LCA bushings to tighten steering and get rid of slop during cornering and heavy braking. No, luckily I don't have to deal with the Carbon Build up, but if you use a quality premium gas and floor it once in awhile, it should help with the carbon buildup. Using a quality fuel system cleaner every oil change should also help
