Hey guys. I have a cloth cover on my sticky dashboard and it covers this which I have circled in red hole above the AC vent on passenger side. Is it a bad thing for it to be covered and will it damage AC System?

Side defrost vent. As it being covered it probably won't defrost the window effectively in cold weather.

 

It doesn't get that cold at all where I live so I think it will be fine. I was thinking of cutting the cover to expose the hole but I'll refrain from doing that now.

 

dude, you live in the Sahara desert? Even in AZ, a few times a year, the windows will fog up due to moisture and rain. But I guess you could manage without the side window.

 

I live in Dubai and I think it will be manageable. I'd rather not cut out an ugly hole in the cover just for a minor issue as this.

I'm curious as to what your cover looks like. What kind of material is it and is it just black/gray color?
