Default Any way to fix this dashboard?

Hey all,

I was wondering if there was any financially feasible way to fix the stains attached on the photos?

Have you tried any cleaning products like an interior detailer?

https://www.griotsgarage.com/product...rPicks&from=fn

or something like this:

The stain didn’t come out after using some paper towel and water. Seemed like a stubborn stain. Think this product would work on smth like that?

You should probably ask this in the 2nd Gen IS forum as someone there might have more direct experience with that specific dash material. It could be anything, but it's a pretty low cost/risk thing to try.

Is this just a failure of the dash material? That's an issue common to the 2nd gen IS (and other models). Is it soft/tacky to the touch?

Yes, known as "sticky dash" it affected a lot of Toyota/Lexus models between 2006-2012. I had my 2010 IS350 dashboard changed this January under the extended warranty. It ends for my model year this year, for the OP's it ended 2 years ago, so he's stuck...literally and figuratively speaking
